Peter McIntyre progressed through the ranks at Essendon playing club cricket to make his debut for Victoria in the Sheffield Shield at the MCG in March 1989. A couple of years later he would spend some time at the Commonwealth Bank Cricket Academy eventually moving to play First Class Cricket for South Australia.
Peter was selected to play for Australia A in the controversial 1994/5 Series which featured Australia, England and Zimbabwe. It was this summer that he was selected to become Baggy Green 364 when he was selected for the Ashes Test at the Adelaide Oval.
Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, our resident cricket librarian Matt Fiction would often be making waves on the social scene waxing lyrical and sharing stories about his life and times in the library.
He would also take time out from functions to duck away and fit in some reading time as was captured on the highly popular TikTok social media platform.
