Katie Mack has been in excellent form making two half centuries in the last three games for the Adelaide Strikers in Weber WBBL|07.

She is a very valuable player in the Strikers’ squad who is coming off two excellent seasons for the ACT Meteors in the WNCL competition.

Last year on the Cricket Library Podcast, we caught up with Katie and Erica Kershaw to hear more of their stories.


Katie Mack Signs With Birmingham Phoenix

Former guest of the Cricket Library Podcast Katie Mack has agreed to terms with the Birmingham Phoenix and will play for them in the first ever season of The Hundred.

Katie has been a strong contributor for the Abode Hotels ACT Meteors for a number of seasons winning three consecutive player of the year gongs.

Everyone at the Cricket Library is excited to see Katie have the opportunity to test her skills in this brand new competition.

Katie Mack takes top gong for third consecutive year.

Congratulations to former guest on the Cricket Library Podcast Katie Mack who has won her third consecutive Bronwyn Calver Medal for Meteors player of the year at the 2021 ACT Cricket Awards.

It is a testament to her skill & commitment as well as her desire to get the best out of herself. At the Cricket Library we are thrilled to see her receive this honour.

The Mack and Kershaw show

Katie Mack and Erica Kershaw have helped lead the ACT to victory in their final WNCL game of the season. Kershaw finished with a well made 52 while Mack playing her 50th WNCL game was dismissed just five runs short of a century.

Katie had a magnificent season with the willow finishing with 418 runs for the season with a very healthy average of 59.71.

Erica and Katie were both very popular guests on the Cricket Library Podcast last year.

Milestone for Mack as she approaches 50 WNCL games

Katie Mack has had a stellar start to the WNCL season sitting on top of the leading run scorers list for the Abode Hotels ACT Meteors with 323 runs which puts her third of all the batters in the WNCL competition this summer. She has flourished at the top of the order setting a solid platform for her team with consistent contributions.

A regular in the Meteors line up for some time now, Katie will register her 50th game in the WNCL this weekend when she lines up against the Scorpions.

Erica Kershaw and Katie Mack are part of the Abode Hotels ACT Meteors squad who play in the WNCL Competition. Both players also had a taste of WBBL Finals in 2019 with Katie a part of the Adelaide Strikers team and Erica in the Melbourne Renegades line up.

In this edition of the Cricket Library Podcast we will hear where their passion for cricket began and find out some insights about their cricketing journey so far which has led them both to the ACT. We will also get a better understanding of how they balance work commitments with playing cricket as well as learning more about their interests outside of the game.
