AD Hales wins inaugural Cricket Library Weekly Medal

AD Hales was a deserving winner of the inaugural Cricket Library Weekly Medal

Alex Hales has made history being named the inaugural Cricket Library Weekly Medal for his performances throughout the summer in the Big Bash.

Votes were awarded by our judges Robbie Mackinlay, Matt Ellis and Matt Fiction on a three, two one basis and Hales finished one vote clear of Jhye Richardson and Josh Philippe to make history as the first person to win the prestigious medal.

Hales was simply outstanding for the Sydney Thunder hitting a record number of sixes in the tournament and finishing the season with two he most runs to his name.

Within minutes of the announcement an excited Matt Fiction penned the following haiku poem in his honour.
